The new Alpha generation—those born between 2010 and 2025—will soon begin their education and then enter the workforce—with high expectations similar to those of their Gen Z predecessors, but having already experienced some crises during childhood and thus harboring a distrust of the system. Poorer job prospects and general uncertainty are likely leading Gen Alpha to increasingly want to live a good life now, rather than leaving the fruits of their labor to an uncertain retirement. At the same time, their digital skills are often acquired passively and are not directly applicable to the jobs they are seeking—jobs that companies want to fill effectively.
