Works Council in Changing Times
Essential Training for Newly Elected and Re-elected Works Council Members
This training course introduces and explains the legal framework and all key aspects of co-determination relevant to works councils, supported by practical examples and exercises. In a separate module, we also address employment contract issues and provide participants with a solid foundation of knowledge, ensuring a smooth start for newly elected works council members and a valuable refresher for those who have been re-elected.
Our lecturers bring extensive practical experience and are able to provide useful advice on dealing with current challenges and conflicts within the works council as well as in relations with the employer.
This programme is ideally suited for the entire works council and is particularly valuable during the orientation phase following elections. Upon request, the seminar can be supplemented with additional modules on current topics, such as managing mergers and organisational change.

Depending on the specific content, the training lasts between two and three days and is conducted in your region. A minimum of five participants is required.

Application of Collective Agreements in Cooperative Banks
This training course provides a comprehensive overview of the various collective agreements applicable within the cooperative banking sector and explains how they interact. Particular emphasis is placed on the framework collective agreement, which is often less well known, as well as on grading and classification issues relating to the remuneration system introduced in 2019.
Where appropriate and subject to prior coordination, specific classification cases can be discussed and reviewed jointly. In addition, other collective agreements, such as the Demographic Agreement and the Long-Term Working Time Account Agreement, frequently present unexpected challenges in practice for works councils. For this reason, we strongly recommend detailed training on these topics.
This seminar is ideally suited for the entire works council and is by no means intended solely for newly elected members. In particular, the module on job classification and grading is highly recommended where differing views on the correct classification of employees regularly give rise to discussions and disagreements within the committee.
